The Area ...

At the centre of the ‘Maine’ region, halfway between Paris and Brittany, on the edge of the Armorican ancient mountains, country of the Coëvrons, contry of the Sarthe and the Vègre valleys, the Water Mill is an invitation for hiking and a perfect base for local trips.

. 7 miles North you find the medieval town of Sainte Suzanne, the Normandie Maine Park, the Alpes Mancelles …
· 6 miles West the Saulges caves, the cities of Laval and Rennes …
· 7 miles Est the Champagne Mancelles and the Loué city, in the direction of Le Mans and Paris …
· 5 miles South you can find the water-sport complex of Brûlon, the medieval towns of Asnière upon Vègre, Sablé upon Sarthe, leading to the Loire Valley and its famous castles …

The Water Mill is located in the foothills of the Grande Charnie forest, whose South side running waters feed the Water Mill, just below the hamlet of Saint Denis d’Orques, at the door of the rich agricultural region surrounding Paris. The region lives both of live stock and agriculture. In the middle of a countryside setting we will host you for a short stop on your way to other attractive sites or for a longer period, if you decide to leasurely enjoy the area and its wide range of landscapes, impregnated by the sweet « douceur Angevine » pace of life, praised so often by poets.
